Bass Guitar Lessons in Eastleigh
Alongside teaching, I’ve spent over 40 years performing professionally on bass with artists including COAST, Lucy Kitchen, The Horse and occasionally The Red Stripe Band.
My bass lessons are rooted in real world playing rather than theory alone. You’ll work with music from Talking Heads, Jamiroquai, Funkadelic, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beck and many more modern artists, building solid groove, timing and musical feel.
Ideal for students from Eastleigh, Winchester and Southampton looking to develop practical bass skills for live playing or bands.
Singing Lessons to Build Confidence
Many people believe they cannot sing. Often this comes from a lack of support or confidence rather than any real limitation.
My singing lessons focus on developing trust in your voice while improving pitch, breath control and tone production in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Whether you sing for your own enjoyment, want to join a choir, or are already performing and looking for more confidence, lessons are always tailored to your goals.
Inclusive & Supportive Teaching
I welcome students of all ages and experience levels.
I adapt lessons to suit individual needs and learning styles, including students who benefit from additional support or different teaching approaches. Sessions are relaxed, friendly and focused entirely on helping you enjoy making music without pressure.

I am absolutely blown away by the quality of my daughter’s singing and guitar lessons with Nick. He has been so patient with her and built her confidence up and I’ve been overwhelmed seeing her pride and confidence grow. Coming home with a recording she had done of her favourite Taylor Swift song moved me to tears as this was literally a dream come true for her.
The lessons are unlike any of my children have had in the past and I can’t recommend Nick more highly. Worth every penny!

My daughter has been having singing lessons with Nick for a couple of years now. We always knew she was good but she lacked in confidence and this held her back from giving it her all and really enjoying singing. She absolutely loves her singing lessons with Nick, he has helped her to shine, grow in confidence, try a variety of different types of music and most importantly really enjoy singing. Nick manages to get the best out of people, my daughter always comes out of her lessons with a spring in her step and a great big smile!

I have always found it very difficult to sing in front of people but since going to Nick, I have gained a lot of confidence. I never thought I would be able to sing in front of anyone but he gave me the strength to do so. I really enjoy the lessons; they are very stimulating and leave you with a sense of pride!

I have been told during many years that I could not sing.
But thanks to Nick, I can now sing. And it is never too late to start, I’m a 52 yrs old french lady.
Nick gives confidence. He is enthusiastic, and positive.
Having him playing guitar when you sing does help a lot. It allows to adapt each song to each person.
Each lesson is always a great pleasure. Thank you Nick!

I always thought I couldn’t sing, but after having a few lessons with Nick, I built up my confidence, and have even joined a choir! Singing is so rewarding and uplifting, and lessons with Nick were fun and relaxed. I’m so glad he helped me discover the singer within me.

Nick has been a fantastic teacher; he really cares for and puts effort into the art of teaching. I started lessons with him completely from scratch having never played an instrument before and he keeps finding new ways to help me understand and learn new skills. I came to him as just a muppet with a guitar and now I’ve learned to sing, record my own albums and performed at festivals.

There are many reasons I look forward to guitar lessons with Nick. He is friendly and has a natural gift for teaching. He balances the need to be encouraging with the need to get the technique right and he does this without being pushy or impatient. His instructions are clear but he also has time to listen to what I have to say. Nick is a true musician and his years of experience are clearly passed on in his teaching.
After years of thinking about taking lessons I’ve now taken the plunge it’s been fun and very rewarding and most of this is down to Nick.
